 What is the Internet and WAP service?

A service that enables subscribers to enter Internet and WAP pages directly through Jawwal handset or using a computer through a cellular handset (Jawwal) and benefit from the various internet services and other distinctive Jawwal services.

 

 


How to subscribe to the Internet and WAP service

  

How to subscribe to the Internet and WAP service?

·Corporate subscribers: through the Contact Person

·Personal subscribers: through showrooms, Call Center (111) or through “My Account” site

To receive Internet and WAP settings:

Call *340# 

·You will receive two messages; save the second message to enjoy the internet service on your Jawwal handset

·Settings are sent to Samsung devices; install has to be completed to enjoy the service

·To enjoy the service, please make sure that the data service is activated on your handset

The following internet settings are added to iPhone handsets:

For postpaid subscribers:

Enter (Settings), followed by (Cellular) and set the Cellular Data from 0 to 1 (the cursor shifts to the right and turns green); consequently, enter (Cellular Data Network) and type internet for the APN field.

For prepaid subscribers:

Enter (Settings), followed by (Cellular) and set the Cellular Data from 0 to 1 (the cursor shifts to the right and turns green); consequently, enter (Cellular Data Network) and type WAP for the APN field.

In case you encounter issues with the settings for Samsung handsets, adjust the settings manually as follows:

Enter (Settings), followed by (More Settings), then (Mobile Networks), followed by (Names Access point); Select menu and add New APN; complete the fields as follows:

·Name: select APN Jawwal WAP

·APN: select WAP

· Proxy: enter 213.244.118.129

· Port: enter 8080

·MCC: enter 425

·MNC: enter 05

·APN Type: enter default,supl

·No changes to other fields

Handsets with Android operating system, the settings will be received as follows:

Enter (Settings) > (Connections) > (More Networks) > (Mobile Networks) > (Access Point Names); then select Menu and add New APN; complete the fields as follows:

·Name: select APN Jawwal Wap

·APN: select wap

·Proxy: enter 213.244.118.129

·Port: enter 8080

·MCC: enter 425

·MNC: enter 05

·APN Type: enter default,supl

·No changes to other fields

Please note that in case of roaming, the settings are adjusted manually as per the above; Please make sure that “Data Roaming” is “On” in order to enjoy the service while roaming.

How are subscribers charged when internet services are used while roaming

 How are subscribers charged when internet services are used while roaming?

The subscriber is charged based on the volume of usage; the charging rate is according to the rates agreed on between Jawwal and the network that the subscriber is roaming on.
