Palestine Telecommunication Company upgraded the telephone network at AlAuja area. This initiative is part of Paltel’s comprehensive plan to advanced telephone networks at the rural areas in Palestine. The initiative was launched in a special opening with the attendance of CEO of, Dr. Abdul Malik Jaber, Chief of Public and Investors Relations, Mr. Bassam Walweel in addition to a number of prominent figures of Al Auja town and other surrounding areas. Governor of Jericho, Dr. Samy Mosalam, Head of Al Auja Rural Council and some other security officials were attendant. Participants expressed their deep appreciation to Palestine Telecommunication Company for its positive procedures to upgrade the telephone networks in the area.
Dr. Abdul Malik Jaber assured the attendees that the upgrading of the Telephone Network is the first step toward developing the Telephone Networks and expanding them to serve other areas around Jericho. Dr. Jaber added that this step is part of Palestine Telecommunication Company strategy. Paltel is always committed to providing the rural areas with the adequate telephone services. Dr. Jaber also stressed that Palestine Telecommunication Company is ready to improve and increase its services throughout Palestine.
Dr. Jaber promised to install subscription-free telephone lines for a number of schools including Al Auja Boys High School, Al Auja Girls High School, and UNRWA Schools.
Dr. Jaber also promised to establish a computer training center for the youth in Al Auja. In addition, Dr. Jaber will discuss Palestine Telecommunication Company potential contribution to rehabilitating the Al Auja Youth Club.
Dr. Samy Mosalam, Governor of Jericho extended his thanks to Palestine Telecommunication Company for its outstanding efforts toward improving the telephone networks and delivering the needed service to the rural areas. He also valued the role of Palestine Telecommunication Company in boosting the Palestinian economy and serving the Palestinian community through the Social Responsibility program that supports the social, cultural and human projects from Rafah to Jineen.
It is worth mentioning that in the past there were only nine telephone lines connections at Al Auja. Now a day, Palestine Telecommunication Company managed to connect 400 new telephone lines and hope to increase number to 4,500 in the near future.
