Ramallah – Paltel participated in the launching ceremony of the P.S. domain name registration under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Ahmad Qurei and Dr. Sabri Saidam, Minister of ICT in the Palestinian National Authority. Ceremony was organized by Palestinian National Internet Naming Authority (PININA) at the Ramallah Cultural Palace. In presence also were representatives of government institutions, diplomatic missions.
Dr Sabri said that a group of initiatives will be launched through the Ministry and aim at developing the technology and information sectors. PININA also announced price deduction campaigns for those who register for p.s domain to motivate a big number of companies to join.
Dr. Abdul Malik Jaber, CEO of Paltel, said: “we are proud to be one of the leading companies to register. Our website will soon use the p.s registration. We will continue to support all initiatives that aim at developing the telecommunication sector. It is part of our social responsibility program and lies in the heart of our strategic planning goals”.

Dr. Jaber added that: “Palestine Telecommunication Company is determined to participating effectively in the building of the Palestinian ICT sector. It is worth mentioning that Palestine Telecommunication Company Ltd (Paltel) and since it started working in the telecommunication field in Palestine has constantly paid efforts to spreading its coverage to as many areas as possible to cover Palestine and to link it to the outside. It has secured the ADSL service which will save PDN service around US$ 1 million to form the Computer Fund that will allow customers to purchase a new pc and making a payment every two months through your phone bill.
The Conference was held under the patronage of different Palestinian and International institutions such as PALTEL, USAID, UNDP, and attendance of many other Ministers and High Government Officials, Consuls, and Diplomats.
