Nablus, Paltel celebrated subscriber # 10,000 to join its ADSL service. At this occasion, Paltel offered Dr. Yacoub Hawash a laptop and increased his home internet speed to 512 kilobit during a celebration that was attended by Mr. Ahmad Aweidah, Paltel GM, and Mr. Mohammad Heajawi, Deputy General Manager in addition to Mr. Ghassan Anabtawi, GM’s Assistant in addition to several department directors and employees. Some Internet Service Providers for Paltel were also present.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Aweidah said: the number of subscribers to the ADSL service by the end of February 2006 reached 10,000. Today, I am happy to announce that the number of subscribers reached 11,000. He added “I feel proud to reach this number which reflects the degree of development that we reached to and people’s interest in catching up with all the technological trends and internet updates. If we compare the number of ADSL subscribers in the Arab World, we will find out that they do not exceed 100,000 while in Palestine alone, we have 11,000 subscribers, a fact that drives us all to be proud”. 

 

In his part, the winner, Dr. Hawash expressed his happiness about this honoring and said: “I thank Paltel for securing the latest technologies through which I can contact my four sons in the United States. I do feel very proud that the technological level in Palestine is compatible with that in the United States.
