Due to its fast efforts in increasing the internet penetration in Palestine, Paltel, one of Paltel Group companies, has increased the ADSL lines by 10% during February only, through the internet services providers, reaching 32 thousand customers, i.e. 9% of the active lines.

Engineer Manal Arqawi, ADSL service development manager at the company, has announced 40 areas newly connected to the ADSL service since 2007, most of which were in the rural areas; resulting a total of 114 areas. Arqawi added: Paltel seeks to provide the service to different areas targeting 65 thousand customers by the end of 2007.

On the other hand and in continuity to the great success that HADARA achieved in terms of increasing the ADSL customers during February, the company has launched the new ADSL campaign (Halmarrah Ahla) (This Time is Better) which targets the home customers offering various promotions and offers.

Mr. Raed E’layyan, HADARA Commercial Director, announced that this campaign stems from the company’s responsibility towards citizens living in distant and rural areas, a technical support policy towards the Palestinian society, particularly, the newly connected areas to ADSL service.

E’layyan added: the campaign offers the new customers a NIS 400 reduction including (connection fees, modem, and monthly fees) Moreover, installation fees will be divided to 3 monthly installments. Current customers will benefit from raising the speed of their ADSL service.

It’s worth mentioning that Broadband ADSL was introduced to Palestinian customers in mid 2005 with a penetration rate considered as one of the highest   in the Arab World
